In plain language: we do not sell your personal information or use the content of your prayers and conversations for advertising. Content you submit to the AI companion must be processed by our service providers to generate a response.
1. Who we are
LifePsalm is provided by Basso Digital LLC ("LifePsalm," "we," "us," or "our"). Questions or privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: such as your email address, sign-in provider identifier, first name, and account preferences when you create an account.
- Faith and wellbeing content: messages to the companion, prayers, notes, Scripture saves, faith threads, reflections, people or dates you ask LifePsalm to remember, and updates about your journey.
- Circle content: circle membership and display name, prayer requests you intentionally share, responses, and "I prayed" activity. Other circle members can see content you choose to share with that circle.
- Onboarding and preferences: answers used to tailor your experience, such as desired support areas, prayer style, faith stage, tradition, and notification choices.
- Support and marketing communications: your email address and the contents of messages you send us, including when you ask to receive product updates.
Information collected through use
- Subscription information: product, entitlement, purchase status, renewal status, and an app-specific customer identifier. Apple processes payment details; we do not receive your full card number.
- Limited analytics: events such as onboarding completion, feature use, purchase outcomes, and error categories. Our analytics rules prohibit sending the text of prayers, conversations, memories, or prayer requests.
- Device and technical information: app version, platform, device or app identifiers, IP address and diagnostic information that our infrastructure or service providers ordinarily process to deliver and secure the service.
- Notification information: a push token and platform if you later enable push notifications. The current initial release may use in-app follow-ups instead of external push notifications.
LifePsalm can operate in a local demo mode. In that mode, journey content is stored on your device and is not backed up to a LifePsalm account. Certain requests may still use online services only when the relevant online feature is enabled and used.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and personalize LifePsalm; generate companion responses and editable prayers; retrieve and display Scripture; save and synchronize your journey when you use an account; operate prayer circles; remember facts you ask us to retain; manage subscriptions; respond to support; maintain safety and security; measure product performance; prevent abuse; and comply with law.
4. AI processing and Scripture
When you use an AI-powered feature, the text you submit and relevant context—such as recent conversation history and selected personalization—may be sent through our backend to Anthropic to generate a response or extract a memory you can review. Do not submit information you do not want processed for this purpose.
LifePsalm retrieves World English Bible text through a Bible data provider so Scripture text can be shown separately from AI-generated interpretation. Bible references and related technical request data may be sent to that provider.
5. When we disclose information
We disclose information only as needed for the service, including to:
- Supabase for authentication, database, and backend infrastructure;
- Anthropic for AI inference when you use AI-powered features;
- RevenueCat and Apple for purchases, entitlements, restoration, and subscription support;
- PostHog for limited product analytics when analytics is enabled;
- Bible data providers to retrieve requested Scripture text;
- professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety, comply with law, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
We may also disclose content to people you intentionally choose to share it with, such as members of a prayer circle. We do not control what another person does with information they can see, so share sensitive details carefully.
6. Data retention
We retain account and journey information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service. We may retain limited records longer when required for security, fraud prevention, purchase accounting, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Backup copies can take additional time to expire. Local demo data remains on your device until you remove it, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can review, correct, verify, or archive remembered facts in the app.
- You can choose whether to save content or share it with a circle.
- You can restore or manage subscriptions through the app and your Apple account.
- You can erase local data from Settings. If you have an online account, contact [email protected] to request deletion of the account and associated server-side content.
- You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information, or object to certain processing, where applicable law provides those rights.
We may ask you to verify your identity before completing a privacy request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
8. Sale, advertising, and tracking
We do not sell personal information. We do not use the content of your prayers, companion conversations, memory facts, or circle requests for targeted advertising. LifePsalm does not currently include third-party advertising.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including authenticated access controls and database row-level security for account data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
LifePsalm is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor's use where required by law.
11. International processing
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection laws from where you live. We use service providers and safeguards appropriate to the information and processing involved.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as LifePsalm develops. We will post the revised policy here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice when required.
